It can also be read completely independantly. More characters are introduced to contrast and interact with many returning personalities from the former work. Their Character traits have been preserved- the hysterical, dim witted Mrs Bennett, her fun provoking husband and their silly teenage daughters return to play their part in making their relatives cringe or smile. A duke, an orphanage, two orphanage boys and a mill owners family influence the lives of some in ways they had not unexpected. The theme is self esteem, of which some characters have too much, while others feel outclassed, but there is humour throughout. As in life, things dont go according to plan and there are anxious times for some. It s safe to say that this plot does not stand still for long.
